Definitions
- Member - A person with membership in the Religious Society of Friends, Flagstaff Quaker Meeting, and Intermountain Yearly Meeting
- Attender - A person who worships regularly with Friends but has not joined the Religious Society of Friends.
- Visitor - A person seeking a religious home who occasionally attends Meeting
Meeting for Worship: Flagstaff Quaker Meeting consists of visitors, attenders, and members. Meeting is 10 - 11 AM each Sunday. ALL ARE WELCOME!
Becoming a Friends Meeting Member
Children born into Quaker homes and brought up in a Friends meeting or church are Junior Members, and may - in time - apply to become adult members. Other persons (from other religious bodies or through study and individual searching) who are attracted to membership by faith, witness, or fellowship of Friends – who feel themselves ready to become members of a Friends meeting or church by “convincement” – are encouraged to apply for membership.
Each individual Friend holds membership in a particular Friends meeting or church, and in this way belongs to the Religious Society of Friends. Members of Flagstaff Friends Meeting automatically hold membership in Arizona Half-Yearly Meeting, Intermountain Yearly Meeting, and in the worldwide Religious Society of Friends.
